World Soil Day is observed annually on December 5th to raise awareness about the importance of healthy soil and sustainable soil management. It aims to highlight the crucial role soil plays in food security, climate change mitigation, biodiversity, and ecosystem health. The day promotes actions to protect and conserve soil resources worldwide. Dr. Md Muzammel Hossain emphasizes the critical importance of maintaining healthy soil and a balanced environment for the well-being of our planet and future generations. He advocates for sustainable agricultural practices that enhance soil fertility, prevent erosion, and reduce the use of harmful chemicals.

Dr. Hossain believes that protecting our soil is fundamental to ensuring food security, promoting biodiversity, and combating climate change. He encourages community awareness, government policy support, and the adoption of eco-friendly technologies to foster a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment.

His dedication underscores the urgent need for collective action to preserve natural resources, promote environmental education, and implement sustainable development strategies for a sustainable future.
