Begum Khaleda Zia (1946 – 2025) was a prominent political leader and influential figure in Bangladesh as call Agri Queen. She was born in Jalpaiguri, Bengal Province, British India on August 15, 1946, and has played a significant role in the country’s political landscape for several decades. Her father is Mr. Iskander Majumder and her mother is Begum Tayyaba Majumder. As the widow of former President Ziaur Rahman, she became a key leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), serving as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for multiple terms: from 1991 to 1996 and again from 2001 to 2006. Khaleda Zia is known for her strong leadership, advocacy for national development, and efforts to promote democracy in Bangladesh. Throughout her career, she has focused on issues such as economic growth, social justice, and poverty alleviation. Despite facing political challenges and controversies, she remains a respected and influential figure in Bangladeshi politics for several decades. Md Abdul Quadir (1942 – 2025) was a distinguished expertise in administration of the university, having served at Bangladesh Agricultural University and Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He last perform with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Iqbal Hossain at Sylhet Agricultural University as registrar, where he contributed greatly to the university’s administrative success for development of higher education. He graduated from the University of Dhaka in 1971, and He retired in 2009 after a dedicated career in education and administration. He was born on December 30th, 1942, in Fulpur, Mymensingh. Md Abdul Quadir was the son of Abdur Rahman and Sundhuri Begum. He passed away on May 11th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and service. His remarkable life continues to inspire many in the fields of education and public service. Md Abdul Quadir, a distinguished administrator and educator whose lifelong dedication to academic excellence left an indelible mark on the educational community as supporter of BNP. Recognizing his contributions to the fields of administration and education at prominent agricultural universities in Bangladesh, his sons, founded this university to honor his father’s legacy and to continue his mission of fostering knowledge and leadership. The establishment of these institutions was driven by the vision to create centers of excellence in higher education, inspired by Md Abdul Quadir’s commitment, integrity, and service. Located in Bangladesh, Agri Queen International University aim to provide quality education, cultivate leadership qualities, and contribute to the development of society, reflecting the values and principles upheld by Md Abdul Quadir throughout his life.
